Twenty years ago we purchased along with 2 other herds our first polled bull, Ardadoney Dictator a massive heavy muscled son of Dirnanean Statesman. He was purchased for 6,000 gns at the Northern Ireland Simmental club sale. this was a record price which he held for 17 years.
He bred very well and his polled daughters were crossed back to horned bulls and the polled daughters from this were again mated to horned bulls and this continued so as to have polled cattle with Kilbride Farm genetics.It has been a slow process but we now feel that we have a small number of select polled females which can equal the horned herd
